Safe Weeding – Trail 4 – Hairy Panic Grass

Below are our trial results for hand-spraying and boom-spraying thick patches of Hairy Panic Grass in pasture. This was done in early-Autumn when ambient daytime temperatures were around 23 degrees Celsius (after the morning dew had dried).

Details of our boom-spray setup are also included below.

Hairy Panic Grass – LocalSafe hand-spray results. Dilution/mix rate = 50mL weed terminator : 50mL soil conditioner : 1L water.

SHURflo, 12V, 4A, diaphragm pump, 2.8GPM/10.6LPM, 45psi/3bar – delivering the LocalSafe mix to 4 x TeeJet Turbo TwinJet – twin flat spray tips – brown/TTJ60 11005 – mounted on a 1.6m non-metallic spray bar – operating at about 1.3bar. Details of spray tips are in this info-sheet:
